Past Projects 2010 - 2017
As a PhD student in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources in the Natural Resources and Environmental Management (NREM) Department, I worked on several interdisciplinary projects tied to conservation of seabirds in Hawaii and elsewhere. I was fortunate to work with Dr. Creighton Litton, Dr. Chris Lepczyk, Dr. Cathy Chan, and Dr. Kirsten Oleson of NREM as well as Dr. Brian Popp at UH Manoa in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST) as my committee for the PhD work.
The New Zealand work plays off of the nutrient cycling study from my Hawaii study. In New Zealand I was very excited to work with Dr. Towns working in New Zealand at the Applied Ecology Lab at Auckland University of Technology. People at the Department of Conservation (DOC) were also great to work with.
